Our Unit is in the
Siesta Dunes Resort. We are located about 1/2 mile
North of Stickney Point Road and Midnight Pass Road on
Crescent Beach. Some call our Beach
Siesta Beach, of which we have about 600 feet of
private beach. Siesta Dunes was one of the last
resorts built on Crescent Beach so it's set
back with very nice landscaping, natural area, and a
unique sunning deck with umbrellas, beach furniture,
tables, chairs, and outdoor grills. From the unit
you have a beautiful view of the pool, deck, beach and
water. The deck is a unique meeting place,
almost every night people enjoy a glass of wine, or a
cocktail while taking in the famous Gulf sunset.
Everything is about 1 minute from your unit. There
is a pool, heated, and a Jacuzzi, both are near the
beach and the deck. Many of the older complexes
have their pool near the street with all the noise and
traffic, planning wasn't very good in the 1970's.
Our unit isn't strictly a rental, we rent it when we
aren't using it, so it's kept very nice, clean, and
completely equipped for you to enjoy a beautiful
vacation, it's not a run down run of the mill
rental. There are two bedrooms, a master with a
king with it's own bath, the second has a queen and
a bath. The kitchen is nicely
equipped, prepare most of our meals; our partner
Christine is a professional chef so we eat in most of
the time. There is a dining room, living room, and
an out door lanai kind of eating area. We are on
the second floor; there is an elevator a few steps from
the unit as well as laundry facilities. Covered
parking is provided; it is a gated resort so
parking is assigned as well as a gate pass and parking
pass. We also have a tennis court on the
grounds. Depending on your preferences the
Siesta Village is a walk
away; at least for us it is, maybe two miles, it's a
good walk or a very short drive. The village has
nice shops, and restaurants, nightlife, anything else
you would need are either in village or off island
on route 41. There is a nice market, drug store, boat
rental, fishing shop, and post office about a 10 minute
walk from Siesta Dunes, south. It's nice to be on
a key, you really feel away from the city.
Crescent beach has the cleanest whitest sand anywhere;
it was voted one of the best beaches in the world and is
in the top five nationally. It's a unique
place that everyone seems to enjoy. We have never
had a complaint and seem to always have repeat
rentals. Our unit is strictly a non smoking unit,
and we as well as the resort doesn't allow pets.
One last thing, we have the Siesta Dunes Management
Company take care of collecting deposits, assigning
parking, giving you your key and gate pass. All
you have to do is call me and I will make your
reservation and arrangements. That way there is no
confusion and there is always someone on the grounds to
help you in the event you need assistance.
